The Victorian Cowboy

How does one mix a Yankees loving cowboy with a Victorian girl who doesn't even know the name of one Yankee player?
Easy you make a Victorian Cowboy as seen in the picture above

I have been busy the last couple of day working on getting Curtiss and my bedroom all set up and arranged with both of our things in it.
I have rearranged the furniture and gotten out some of my decorations and mixed them with some of his and what you get is a nice cozy room that both of us feel at home in.
I have had a lot of fun working on getting everything to fit and feel homey for us and I really like the new look his room has gotten since I moved into it :)
As you can see I left several of his pictures on the wall of various western themes and added a few of my own things to it and it is an interesting mix but we like it and I thought that you all might enjoy seeing where I am living now.

Of course that doesn't mean that you don't have to come and visit and see it in person though:)

One Month

Can you believe it??? Curtiss and I have been married for one month today. How time flies and yet at the same time it feels like we have been married and together for a long time. We have fit so much into the last month that it feels like it wouldn't all fit.
You'll never guess how we spent the day so I'll tell you.
The house has had a leak in the roof since before the wedding, Curtiss tried to fix it but it still leaked so he spent the day going and getting the steel and preparing the leaking section so that he can fix it. And I spent the day I spent the day in our room rearranging, organizing and basically tearing everything apart and then putting it back together again so that all my stuff fits in.
SO you might have wondered if Joanna and Curtiss were back in the real world yet??? Yep, we're here and handling the nitty gritty details of life but are we back from the honeymoon? Not by a long shot :)

INTRODUCING!

My Stylish Brother-in-law...
Joanna and Curtiss came to visit the other day, and with them they brought my coat which had been accidentally left in the honeymoon vehicle. Curtiss, after disappearing for a little while came in wearing my coat. After I had captured a few pictures, he kindly returned it saying, "It probably looks better on you anyway."
I still can't believe that he even got it on. It is only a girls size 10/12!
He was kind enough to give me a couple different poses.
Thanks for being a good sport Curtiss! Although, when I took these pictures you probably didn't really think about the blog! ;)

Black and White

Wow! I suppose it is time that I do a real post, I guess so many different things have been happening that I just haven't had time to post anything. In the past six months, I have hit the big age of eighteen, ( that still sounds really weird... :P) My sister has said, "I do." My little brother turned 13, and my little, little, baby brother is now eight, and I am soon to be an aunt again, for the sixth time, and oh, so many other "things" have happened and are happening, that I can't even count them. Maybe that is why I really haven't blogged in a while, I was too busy living out my life. I guess that is as good a reason as any. ;) I hope I am not boring who ever may read this with my random weird thoughts, it just feels good to get them all written out in front of my face. I guess it makes life more of a reality when you can see it in black and white. I guess that is why God had the Bible printed in black and white, to make it clear to everyone that read it, He didn't have it be green and white, and He didn't have it grey and white, No, He had it printed black and white, just so it could be plain as day. I think the thing that amazes me the most about God, is how he loves everyone. Absolutely no outcasts, or ifs, or buts. He mearly loves us. I have been hearing that sooooo much lately that I think God is trying to get a point through to me, and not just me, but he keeps telling me that He loves everyone else too. He loves the people who are unlovely and unlikable, that is really hard for me to believe but it is another thing that He has all written out in black and white, " God SoOOO Loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 One of my new favorite songs is a song by one of my favorite music artists, I couldn't find the lyrics, so here is the web address. The song says everything that I have been thinking about lately. Well, I should go, this is getting rather long and incoherent, so, I suppose I will say goodbye to blogging for now, and hopefully it won't be so long in between posts again. ;)

Hello All!!

Hey everyone I'm back! I thought you might all like to know that Curtiss and I had a wonderful three weeks away and now we are safely home and working on getting settled into married life.
We went to stay up in Canada for most of the time we were away, first on a private island that Curtiss's grandparents own and then we stopped in a couple of cities and did some sightseeing and ended our time in a cabin at a campground that my parents are members of near Niagara Falls.
We made some wonderful memories and other then making a few wrong turns (we still some how made it to the right spot eventually), waking up and having the inside of the cabin be 39 degrees or the boat sinking, it went by without mishap.
We got back here Saturday afternoon and went to church on Sunday, yesterday Curtiss and I went to the DMV, Social Security office and the bank so that I could get my name changed on all my important documents. So in the next two weeks I will be getting a new drivers license, SS card and a debit card (to Curtiss's bank account, he told me that now I can wipe him out of funds and take off if I want to. I told him that's exactly why I married him just so that I could get his money and he said that if that was my goal then I shouldn't have married someone in the poorhouse:) All right I'll stop teasing you and tell you about the boat sinking.
The island that we stayed on is in Parry Sound Canada and the only way to get to the island is by boat or plane (we due to the fact that we don't have a plane opted for the boat) When we got there (almost a month ago now) we loaded up the little fishing boat with all our luggage and made it safely to the island, then began the fun job of carrying all our luggage through the woods on a little trail to the cabin. We stayed there for about 10 days and had a great time, yes there were a few times when I felt like I had more clothes on then were left in by suitcase plus blankets but that just added to the fun. The last two days we were there it started storming and we knew that there was going to be water in the boat. So the day before we were suppose to leave Curtiss went to bail out the boat and he had a small surprise, the boat was 3/4 of the way sunk right there at the dock with the waves adding water faster then he could bail it out.
Thankfully the front of the boat hit bottom so that it couldn't sink completely and the water died down enough overnight that he could bail it out the next morning and we aren't still there on the island:) All right this post is longer then I thought it was going to be but I haven't written in a while and I am sure that you all don't mind:) I might post more sometimes with some pictures (if I get the chance, we are quite busy for some reason...)
I don't have pictures of the wedding here with me yet but Trina posted a whole bunch on her blog so go check them out if you haven't already
